As news coverage regarding COVID-19 becomes widespread, we'd like to take a moment to outline precautions and plans to ensure the health and wellbeing of our UMAC baseball family.
We are disappointed that we cannot start the season as planned, but the safety and health of our players and family is a top priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the recommendations of the Montgomery County Health Department regarding further actions concerning the virus. If any changes to our schedule are advised, we will post updates on our website (www.umacbaseball.com), social media platforms, and directly by email to registered players.
We remind everyone to be attentive to everyday preventive actions identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These resources can be found on the CDC website, www.CDC.gov. Should you, your spouse, child or caregiver begin experiences symptoms within a 48-hour period before your practice or game, we ask that you please stay home. This includes symptoms including, but not limited to: coughing, sneezing, running nose, fever, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea. All UMAC coaches have been advised to follow these same guidelines.
If you or your child are sick with COVID-19 or suspect you are infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, please follow the steps outlined in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention webpage to help prevent the disease from spreading to people in your home and community.
