After a hard-fought win in the semifinal, the team's shot at its first kid pitch championship was denied due to rain. The 8U squad wrapped up its summer with three finals appearances in five tournaments.
Congratulations to 12U UMAC Attack Red for winning the Cal Ripken Major/60 State Championship in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The team won its first three pool play games by a combined total of 49-17 to clinch the No. 1 seed and advance directly to the championship game.
In the championship game, UMAC rallied from a 5-3 deficit to defeat a tough Charles County team 8-6. UMAC will moving on to represent the state of Maryland in the Mid Atlantic Regional tournament in Poughkeepsie, New York July 19-2
Congratulations to 10U UMAC Attack Black for winning the USSSA-sanctioned Greater Washington 4th of July Travel Tournament in Rockville! The team went 5-0 over the weekend, clenching the championship with a 9-7 victory over BCC Big Train.
Congratulations to 8U UMAC Attack Red, which went 3-1 in the Cal Ripken State Tournament in Elkridge and finished as runner-up in the B division! The team was undefeated in pool play, beating Walkersville 12-0 and Elkridge Green 20-17, then shut out Mount Airy 11-0 in the semifinals. In the finals, UMAC fought hard against a tough PG Select team before falling 12-9.
Congratulations to 10U UMAC Attack Red, which won the RBBA-hosted Greater Washington 4th of July Intramural Tournament. UMAC outscored its opponents 30-6 in elimination play, and avenged its only pool play loss by beating a tough Arlington Arsenal Grey team 13-5 in the finals!
